Sue--

Sue has written 23 #1 songs, including: "We Are The Church," (Ernie Haase and Signature Sound, September 2024), "Heaven Is Happening," (The Guardians July 2024, "Not For Long" (The Guardians) in March 2023, "Looks Like Jesus" (Brian Free and Assurance in 2022, and "Goliath" (Joseph Habedank) in 2021.  

A Daywind Music Publishing staff writer, she is deeply involved in writing music for the church and for church choirs, having written over 100 musicals which are presented annually in churches around the world. Her most recent musicals for Daywind Worship are: Peace on Earth for Christmas 2024, and The Christmas Llama Drama (a Christmas musical for kids choir (AVAILABLE NOW)!

Sue is a siz-time Dove award winning songwriter. Her most recent Dove came in 2024 for the Easter musical My King Is Known By Love, available from Daywind Worship.  She has had cuts by Jason Crabb, Joseph Habedank, Ernie Haase and Signature Sound, Triumphant Quartet, Karen Peck and New River, The Crabb Family, Sandi Patty, Guy Penrod, Travis Cottrell, Mark Harris, Larnelle Harris, Steve Green, Brian Free and Assurance, The Hoppers, and many others. 

She and her late husband John founded The Write About Jesus Workshop in 2000, They co-hosted it each year until John's passing in 2020. Sue continues to host the workshop as well as mentor many other writers. The workshop has been the launching pad for the songwriting of dozens of fresh voices in Christian music. Write About jesus is also actively engaged in encouraging and training songwriters around the world, and Sue has made visits to Myanmar, India and Uganda in that effort.
